Albenga and surroundings

Close to the B&B, and only 500 m. from La Casa di Flavio, there is the renowned archaeological walk Via Iulia Augusta, built in 13 BC, a historical/naturalistic route of about 6 km. which winds between Albenga and Alassio.

In Albenga you can visit the wonderful historical center of Roman origin, with the most important early Christian Baptistery in Liguria, numerous ancient buildings and towers from the medieval era, the city museums, including the Roman Naval Museum, the Ingauno Civic Museum, the Magiche Trasparenze Museum , the Diocesan Museum and the Oil Museum.

Right in front of the suggestive Gallinara Island you can choose between the numerous free and equipped beaches, with sand mixed with gravel, ideal for your days of relax or for practicing sea-related sports (kitesurfing, windsurfing, underwater excursions in the depths of the island, etc).

In the surrounding area you will find beautiful ancient villages, some of which are in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy (some examples: Villanova d'Albenga, Zuccarello, Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, Colletta di Castelbianco, Cervo, Laigueglia, Finalborgo, Noli, Verezzi ), the caves of Toirano and Borgio Verezzi, the Rainer Kriester sculpture park in Vendone, the golf course in Garlenda, the "budello" and the beaches of Alassio, the climbing areas in Val Pennavaire, in Toirano and in Finale Ligure, numerous paths and marked routes where you can go trekking on foot or by mountain bike, diving, kayaking and sailing schools, boat tours for cetacean spotting or around the Gallinara Island and much more.

Your stay in Albenga will be enriched with a wide choice of food like the first fruits of the  "Four of Albenga" (thorny artichoke, trumpet courgette, purple asparagus, ox heart tomato) and local wines (Pigato, Rossese and Vermentino).
